NGA April 2014 Aftermath

NGA’s April program has just finished, this time with 30 participants. Remember that the Nordic Go Academy Summer Camp 2014 is fast approaching: join soon before plane tickets raise prices! It’s the best way to prepare for the European Go Congress of this year (Sibiu, in Romania) or just enjoy some relaxing holidays with sauna, lake and lots of go.

This last month we saw the first reviews by Lukas, and also enjoyed an interview with Antti while he trains to become a pro in Japan. We’ve also seen a new logo (you can see it on our Facebook and Twitter accounts for now) and some color changes here: a new design is on its way (hopefully will appear by June!)

April’s A tournament was won by Juippi, and B tournament by Eilinen, meaning they get a discount for May’s NGA Program. Congrats! The A level tsumego quiz was won by SharpEye, whereas in the B tsumego quiz BlueRock and bhind tied for first place in a very close competition: the distance from winner to 5th place was just 6 wrong problems. They both get a discount for their next participation in Academy.

Shown below are one sample each from the A (left) and B (right) tsumego packages from April (black to play). When you’ve given them some thought, you may check your answers from these SGF files: A solution, B solution.
